  • I extensively tested Model Context Protocol (MCP), which has significant potential for closing gaps in LLM systems. MCP provides abstracted access to tools and high-quality data while handling authentication—a game changer for LLM interaction with apps and non-public data like notes, calendars, and contact lists. The current state isn't quite reliable yet: connection issues and inconsistent tool calling remain problems. For production use, these systems need to be 100% accurate and invisible to users. The impact on context consumption and accuracy remains unclear. I'll continue monitoring.
  • I've migrated all notes to plain text and markdown, moving away from proprietary formats. With LLMs now central to my workflow, markdown offers the best balance for both human and machine readability.
